OilJug™

Why carry a quart when ounces will do?

For years we've used Piaa and Hella lights with good results. We were content with their performance but struggled with the price. Then one day a customer told us about IPF lights. We did some research and discovered reasonably priced, high quality lighting systems and replacement headlight bulbs that are perfect for motorcycle applications.  We contacted the US importer (who also happens to be here in Seattle) and signed on as a distributor.  We can now offer prices on IPF lights that are lower than most other IPF dealers.

IPF High Performance Lighting Systems

IPF has long been the favorite lighting system of 4x4 and off-road enthusiasts. IPF lights are famous for their durability, exceptional quality, and superior performance. They’re generally less expensive than comparable lighting systems because IPF spends their money on research and performance, instead of glossy advertising or slick marketing or exaggerated performance claims.  To prove their point, all IPF lighting systems come with a 1-year guarantee against system failure or bulb burnout !

BestRest carefully selected IPF models suitable for motorcycle applications, then we tested them to make sure they met our standards. We’re confident you’ll be satisfied with the results.

Model REV1

Want a set of compact lights similar to the Piaa 1100 series but don't want to pay an arm and a leg?  Then these lights are for you.  REV1 lights measure only 2.4" high x 3.2" wide x 2.5" deep.  The silver lightweight high impact resin housing contains a powerful max white 55W H3 bulb that performs in the 110W class.  The hardened glass multi-reflector lens provides a driving/flood pattern, perfect for night time driving conditions or daytime conspicuity.

The best feature of this new system is the WIRELESS REMOTE SWITCH.  It measures only .5" thick x 1.25" wide x 2" long and can be mounted anywhere with velcro or double stick tape.  You can put it in your tankbag, on your handlebars, or anywhere else that's convenient.  REV1 lighting systems come with two lamp assemblies, the wireless remote switch, relay and wiring harness.  Price is $165   Click here to order

Model 968

Rated our “Best Buy” and IPF’s most popular system.  Don't let the low price fool you - these are high quality lights suitable for serious applications, but they're still priced far below other lighting systems.  Polished hardened clear lenses and black high impact resin housings.  To keep the costs down you'll get solid white covers instead of brush guards... remove them before flight. A set of two 55W and two 100W halogen bulbs come with each set of lights - you choose which set to install. The 55's do a great job of lighting your way, but the 100's are amazingly bright!  The kit includes relay, switch and wiring harness. Mount vertical as the standard configuration, or mount horizontal with minor modifications. Clear driving lens, long distance pattern. Retail $164.54 per set, you pay only $125.00 per set  Click here to order

Compare these lights to a set of Piaa Model 40's (4062) with 55W bulbs, MSRP $177.00.  With IPF lights you'll save $52, you'll get 2 sets of bulbs (55W and 100W), and you'll get IPF's 1-year guarantee against bulb burnout or failure.

Amber - Model 968A (click here for hot link)  The 968 is also available with a yellow (amber lens).  IPF coated the reflectors with a thin layer of reflective titanium to achieve a high quality amber light.  They're very effective for daylight conspicuity, and they cut through fog, rain, and dust like a knife thru butter.  Long distance pattern.  Retail $184.65, you pay only $125.00 per set  Click here to order

Model S6314

These lights have 4” polished hardened clear lenses, and black high impact resin housing and brush guards.  The 55W J-beam high output bulb produces optical equivalent of 85W. Clear lens is best for nighttime riding applications since it produces the cleanest, whitest light.  Mount vertical or horizontal without modifications. Relay, switch and wiring harness included. Driving light pattern.  Retail $257.41, you pay only $185.00 per set. Click here to order

Compare these lights to a set of Piaa Model 520's (5292), MSRP $250.00.  With IPF lights you'll save $65 and you'll get IPF's 1-year guarantee against bulb burnout or failure.

Model S6313

Same features as S6314 shown above, but projects a bright amber beam which is very consipicuous for daytime driving applications, keeping you safe in the sea of clueless car drivers. It also works well in foggy conditions. Instead of using a cheap tinted bulb to achieve the amber color, IPF did it right and coated the lens with titanium. It costs more that way but the results are worth it. Relay, switch, and wiring harness included. Driving (long distance).  Retail $307.76, you pay only $225.00 set.  Click here to order

Compare these lights to a set of Piaa Model 520's (5291) with 85W bulbs, MSRP 266.00.  With IPF lights you'll save $41 and you'll get IPF's 1-year guarantee against bulb burnout or failure!

Model J01CB

This remarkable 6” hybrid light system contains dual lenses and bulbs to suit a variety of conditions - you get two lights in one housing. You can program the fog and driving lights to run by themselves, or you can run them all at the same time.  The large fog beam uses a 55W gold high performance bulb. The smaller inset driving beam uses a 55W J-beam that produces 85W output. Standard mounting is vertical, but you can rotate the lenses and mount them horizontal with minor modifications. Black metal housing, brush guards, custom switch allows you to run fog & driving lights independently or together. Relay, switch, and wiring harness included. Retail $459.43, you pay only $330.00 per set set  Click here to order

Standard Items Included With Each Lighting System

IPF systems include 2 light assemblies, bulbs, wiring harness & waterproof connectors, switch, relay, brush guards or covers (except S9614), and full installation instructions. Mounting brackets for the motorcycle are not included.

Check with local authorities regarding operation of auxiliary lighting systems on public roads. Select a lighting system that fits within the electrical capacity of your motorcycle. Most charging systems easily handle an extra pair of 55W bulbs. High output lighting system should be used with motorcycles having a charging system rated at more than 500 watts. Other electrical accessories may also affect your charging system.

Lighting systems are not eligible for return or refund but they will be replaced under warrantee if found to be defective or the bulbs burn out, within 1 year of purchase.

IPF High Performance Bulbs

IPF also makes high performance replacement bulbs that fit H1, H3, H4, H7 and H11 headlight systems. Upgrading your stock headlight is as easy as unplugging your existing bulb and replacing it with a high quality IPF unit. The improvement in how well you see the road at night (or how well you’re seen by others in daylight) is immediately apparent. As with IPF lighting systems, all IPF bulbs come with a 1-year performance guarantee against bulb burnout !

Replacing your stock headlight bulb is the most cost effective method of upgrading your light output. IPF bulbs are less expensive than other high performance bulbs offered elsewhere, and come with a 1-year guarantee against burnout or failure. No other manufacturer offers this level of protection. IPF spends their money on research and product performance, instead of glossy advertising or exaggerated performance claims. We've selected the best bulbs for motorcycle applications.

Don't confuse these high performance IPF bulbs with the cheaper ones you can buy at any local auto parts store. Those bulbs aren't even in the same league! Cheaper, yes. Better, NO. You really do get what you pay for when you invest in an IPF bulb.

We're talking some serious light here.  High quality clear bulb rated to an actual 100 watts low beam 170 watts high beam. For riders wanting to maximize output from their stock headlight lens. Ride a BMW R1150GS? These bulbs are for you!

H1 Bulb - X11 Xenon "Super Low Beam" 65W = 150W

We searched IPF's inventory for an H1 bulb suitable for motorcycle applications. We finally found what we wanted and had them flown in from overseas. These superb quality H1 bulbs are guaranteed for one year, just like all other IPF lights and bulbs.

IPF's new H1 Xenon Bulb is marketed under the trade name "Super Low Beam", just like the X51 above, but don't let that "low beam" designation fool you! These bulbs are suitable for any headlight system using H1 bulbs, whether it's for a high beam or a low beam application.

The X11 is rated as a true 65 watts bulb. It draws 10 more watts than a stock H1 bulb, but because of the exotic xenon gas mix and robust filament design using the highest quality components, these bulbs produce a claimed equivalent 150 watt performance. And they do it without modifications to your electrical system. These bulbs produce considerably more clear white light than any stock bulb we've seen. As a result you'll see the road much better at night and your daytime conspicuity will be greatly enhanced.

X11 H1 Xenon bulbs are sold in sets of 2. Sorry, we don't separate the twins. $40.00 per set of 2 bulbs.  Click here to order

Most auto parts stores and motorcycle dealerships charge about $10-$15 for a standard 55W H1 bulb. Although IPF bulbs cost more than a stock bulb they perform twice as well. By comparison, Piaa sells their 55W high output H1 bulb for around $40 each. You do the math.;

Bulbs are rated by wattage (power): We list low beam rating as the first number, high beam rating as the second number. Other manufacturers may list them in reverse. Check your motorcycle owner’s manual for the style you require (H1,H3,H4,H7,H11) and wattage recommendations.

Claims of performance or optical equivalent output are provided by the manufacturer and cannot be verified by BestRest. It's a well known fact that all of the lighting manufacturers resort to "creative marketing" when it comes to making claims about the performance of their lights. All we can say is that we’ve tested IPF lights on the road and their performance greatly exceeded our expectations. That’s why we sell them with confidence.

Bulbs are not eligible for return or refund. They'll be replaced under warrantee if found to be defective or if they burn out within 1 year of purchase. Contact BestRest for details.
