What's a "PillionPlate"? It's a replacement for the passenger (pillion) seat on the back of the BMW R1200GS and R1200GS Adventure.
We have 3 versions of the PillionPlate, each with it's own special features. Scroll down to select the model that fits your riding style and cargo needs.

Standard R1200GS Pillion Plate
The original R12GS PillionPlate is designed to replace the passenger seat and provide a luggage platform and a mounting point for one of our BackRests. The stock BMW luggage rack can remain in place. The PillionPlate works with factory or aftermarket side cases. It also fits the Adventure.

Extended version for R1200GS with factory cases
The tapered Super PillionPlate is a replacement for the passenger seat and stock luggage rack. Intended for the solo rider only, it provides a sturdy platform for your duffle, a Pelican case, a fluids cell, or any other cargo. It also provides the platform for mounting any of our BackRests. This version fits the R12GS with BMW system saddlebag cases.

The stock luggage rack must be removed for this application. Installation takes about 30 minutes. Reconfiguring back to the original setup takes about 10 minutes; you can quickly reinstall the passenger seat and stock luggage rack when you're going to have a riding companion.

The rectangular version of the Super PillionPlate is a replacement for the passenger seat and stock luggage rack. Intended for the solo rider only, it provides a sturdy platform for your duffle, a Pelican case, a fluids cell, or any other cargo. It also provides the platform for mounting any of our BackRests. This version fits the R12GS with aftermarket saddlebag cases, such as Touratech or Jesse Luggage systems.
