Let's face it - eventually we're gonna’ drop the bike. It may happen on the trail or it may happen in the garage, but sooner or later we'll be looking at the bike on it's side. These crash bars will protect the engine, the radiator, and the "typical gas tank region" from those unfortunate tumbles.
Please don't ask us how we know these things happen.

Design Note: These photos show the "old style" crash bars. In Nov '09 Metal Mule slightly redesigned the upper loop of the bars. (the new design is shown below). A new connecting bar runs just below the bottom of the radiator, and a new loop connector further strengthens the upper part of the bars. This new design improves protection in the event of a tip-over. All the crash bars we sell have this new design. Installation remains the same, easy peasy.
