If you've got a BestRest LightGuard on your BMW F800GS or R1200GS, then you've already got this special rubber seal that fits across the top of the LightGuard. The same rubber seal is used on both motorcycles
The rubber seal prevents light from bouncing off the back of the plexi, into the rider's eyes. The seal also prevents the edges of the plexi from glowing. It's an interesting phenomenon, but quite distracting when you're riding after dark.
If you lost the original rubber seal that came with your LightGuard, you can buy a replacement.
Riders who have another brand of headlight protector can also use this rubber seal.
Small metal inserts in the molding will grip the plexiglass hold it in place.
