The "DUAL" ToolPlate is a replacement for the stock plastic tool lid and lower tray.  It's named for the dual-purpose role for both rider and passenger. The Dual works with or without the passenger seat. The square cutout allows the passenger seat hook to pass through the Dual ToolPlate and latch to the seat lock assembly below.

The passenger seat fits over the ToolPlate without interference.  Solo riders can remove the passenger seat and strap cargo down to the ToolPlate. The round silver fitting at the rear holds the ToolPlate to the frame.  The square plastic fitting is the BMW seat lock. ToolPlates does not come with a metal or plastic tool tray, instead your tools are held securely in our new ToolPouch - a waterproof Cordura zippered bag, specially designed to fit between the frame rails.

This ToolPouch pictured below, is included with all ToolPlates.
