A set of
two specially machined aluminum bushings allows removal of the stock BMW
passenger grab rail. Bushings fit nearly flush with the surface of your frame
or CargoRest (if you have one). GrabRail Bushings provide a clean, neat, and
professional appearance when the grab rail has been removed.
If you
don't use our bushings when you remove the grabrail, the screws that hold the taillight
assembly will be too long. Your taillight will rattle or come loose, causing a
potentially dangerous situation.
(You can
solve the problem on your own by using a large set of fender washers, but it
usually looks pretty cheesy. Alternatively, you can purchase shorter M6x75mm
screws if you can find them.)
With the
passenger seat and grab rail removed, and one of our CargoRests in place,
you'll have an incredibly large and unobstructed cargo area behind the rider's
seat.
