Ride a BMW R1200GS? These bulbs are for you!
The F800GS and R1200GS uses two of these bulbs, high beam and low beam bulbs are identical.
For headlight systems having two single element H-7 bulbs (usually in two lenses). Delivers a light that equals bulbs having a much higher wattage rating. Fits all standard H7 light assemblies.
These bulbs have a slight blueish tint to them and are rated at a color temperature of 5000 Kelvin. By contrast, clear H7 bulbs are typically rated at 3200 Kelvin. Note that the photo shown on this page shows an older style 32K bulb.
Note: Sold as SINGLE BULB. We no longer sell them in pairs. If you need 2 bulbs, order a quantity of 2.
Special Note for BMW Riders: Newer BMW motorcycles have an electrical system that (for some unknown reason but probably related to the CANbus) EATS headlight bulbs like they were a toddler with candy. It's very common for a bulb burn out a bulb in only a few months. This is true for any brand of bulb, including OEM, Sylvania, Hella, Osram, IPF, etc. Because this is a BMW design issue, and not the fault of the bulb itself, IPF will not provide warranty replacements if it is used in a BMW motorcycle.
On a personal note, I've used IPF H-7 bulbs on my own F8GS and R12GS for several years. During that time I've had to replace 2 bulbs. Not bad, considering the miles I ride.
